CBS Teases New Worlds in First Promo for their New Star Trek TV Show
This is a big year for Star Trek fans. Not only is it the 50th anniversary of the franchise, but we've also got a new movie to look forward to. However, the fun doesn't stop after Star Trek Beyond is released, because in 2017 CBS will be unveiling the first new Star Trek TV show since Enterprise ended over a decade ago in 2005.

There's not been much concrete information about the new show, but rumors have suggested it could take an anthology form, hopping around different eras in the vast Star Trek timeline. Regardless of the show's setting, though, it's generally been agreed the famous names from the franchise will not be present, with CBS keen to start blazing a new trail through the Star Trek universe. That notion of the unexplored was confirmed during CBS's upfronts yesterday where the network unveiled the first teaser for the as yet untitled Star Trek show.

Unsurprisingly, there wasn't any footage on show, but the promo does give us our first look at the new logo. The tease of New Worlds and New Aliens definitely seems targeting at separating this show from what's going on in JJ Abrams' rebooted movie universe. However, it's the mention of 'New Crews' (plural) that is most intriguing. Could the idea of multiple new crews confirm the anthology format for the show, or is that just us reading too much into things?
