DC’s Powerless Trailer Leaks Online
Following the example of The Flash and Supergirl, the very first footage from the brand new DC TV show, Powerless, has recently been leaked onto the internet, and it actually looks like it has a lot of potential. As the trailer itself is something that NBC is actively trying to have removed, it won't be posted here. However, if someone was really wanting to watch it, there's a number of sites that still have the video up and running.

From the trailer, it's evident that the focus will be on the character Emily, played by Vanessa Hudgens, and her job working for an insurance company that insures damage caused by metahumans and their antics. It seems that she has a pretty close knit group of friends at her job, who will likely play the biggest roles in the supporting cast. It's also clear that there will be friction between Emily and her boss, the son of the company's owner played by Alan Tudyk.

The trailer is chock full of superhero and super villain references, with Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, Lex Luthor, and Aquaman each being mentioned throughout. Each of them serve as the butt of certain jokes, and some of them aren't half bad. Hopefully that's not Powerless putting all of its funniest moments on display in the trailer though; if that's all they've got up their sleeve, it's doubtful the show will perform well.

This is the second DC show that NBC has taken on in three years, the other being Constantine, which was cancelled after the first season. Most fault NBC for its cancellation, as the network placed the show at a late time on Friday night and didn't market it properly. Though Powerless has a better time slot and a much different premise than Constantine, hopefully NBC doesn't let DC fans down for the second time.

Powerless is no doubt a risk, as it's a superhero show of a totally different genre than the rest currently on the air. However, it does have a pretty impressive cast featuring actors and actresses like Vanessa Hudgens, Alan Tudyk, Christina Kirk, and Danny Pudi, and with the possibility of big name superheroes making cameos throughout the season, Powerless may very well have a real shot at this.

Time will only tell if the show can deliver on the fun it promises. Powerless will premiere this Fall  on NBC.
