This New Trailer Will Make You Feel So Much Better About Star Trek Beyond
The new Star Trek Beyond trailer has been unveiled, and after all the concern that followed the movie's first teaser, it's safe to say that most Trek fans will be feeling a lot more optimistic about Justin Lin's July release. Such was the level of consternation that followed the first teaser and the subsequent lack of information about the movie, rumors had emerged recently that Paramount was planning to delay Star Trek Beyond's release date to September. However, Co-writer Roberto Orci has since refuted those claims, and at a major fan Star Trek fan event held at Paramount's LA studio last night, the movie's second trailer was aired to the cheers of hundreds of excited Star Trek fans.

That trailer is now online, and it gives us a better look at Idris Elba's villainous Krall, as well as a better idea of the movie's key themes. But most of all, the trailer gives us hope that Beyond won't just be another generic Sci-Fi adventure, which is something that many thought might be the case after the release of trailer #1.

Certainly, if the trailer is anything to go by, 'Beyond' is going to once again see the crew of the Enterprise in some serious peril, with Elba's Krall looking to bait Captain Kirk into a fight. And, because it wouldn't be a Star Trek movie if the Enterprise didn't get ripped to shreds, we also see the old girl being torn apart by a swarm of rather aggressive nanobots.

As well as the new trailer, Paramount has also released a new official poster for the movie, which you can see below.
