Will Kingpin Appear in 'Spider-Man: Homecoming'?
We don't yet know who the villain will be in Spider-Man: Homecoming, though rumors suggest it will be the Vulture, with Michael Keaton circling the role (get it? Circling?), but another name that has popped up is the Kingpin. Wilson Fisk is a big-time member of Spidey's rogues gallery as well as Daredevil's, and was actually a villain of the web slinger first. And given the popularity of Vincent D'Onofrio's portrayal of the character on Daredevil, some fans were hoping he'd reprise the role in Spider-Man - but he says it's probably not going to happen.

On Twitter, D'Onofrio addressed the rumor with a link to a story about it, saying, "Sorry folks but this is news to me. It would be great but I don't think it will happen. V." After a huge fan response, he followed that up a short while later with another tweet, writing, "I love all this action about me doing #SpiderMan Tell Marvel!!!" And then he put out a third tweet, where he said, "Hey Folks thanks for all the encouragement but your gonna have to share some of it with @Marvel #OverwelmedByIt," alongside a video of him as Kingpin telling Daredevil, "We'll have to do this again sometime."

Clearly, D'Onofrio is into the idea, and the ball appears to be in Marvel's court. But given Marvel's reluctance to bring anyone from their TV universe into their cinematic universe, even though they're technically supposed to be the same universe, the odds of Kingpin showing up in Spider-Man: Homecoming don't look good. But who knows? Maybe if that Sinister Six movie ever happens it'll be a different story.
