Geoff Johns Says Ben Affleck’s Dialogue in the Batman Script is “Amazing”
There's been some pretty big shakeups at Warner Bros. lately, with Geoff Johns and Jon Berg being given creative control of the DCEU and Charles Roven's involvement in the films decreasing. Most tend to see this as a good thing, as guys like Johns, Berg, and Ben Affleck, who was recently made executive producer on Justice League, take the reins of DC's most iconic characters and superheroes. Each have proven to be long time fans with more than just a little grasp on what makes the DC universe so incredible, and really, it makes one wonder why these guys weren't put in the drivers seat from the beginning.

Johns recently confirmed that he's been working on the next upcoming Batman movie with Ben Affleck, and as a man who's been writing the character for over five years straight in the comic books Justice League and Batman: Earth One, Johns is arguably one of the most, if not the most, qualified person for the job.

Recently, Johns discussed the script in an interview with Seth Meyers. While he's not able to go to deep into details, what he had to say is certainly a reason for DC fans to be excited.

Opening quote
He's amazing, but he's amazing at dialogue. When he reads the dialogue, I just sit there going, 'wow, I'm talking to Batman!'
Closing quote

Though it's common for someone in Johns position to want to hype up the project they're currently working on, this certainly makes sense, as Affleck has demonstrated his writing ability on a number of different scripts, most notably Good Will Hunting, the Oscar winning film he co-wrote with Matt Damon. Affleck is also a lifelong fan of the character of Batman, so the fact that the script is being written by someone who genuinely knows the character is definitely and evidently a huge plus.

As of now, there's no date tagged to the upcoming Batman film, but most tend to think that it'll be coming sometime either in 2018 or 2019. It's rumored to feature a large number of Batman's gallery of rogues, and will directed by the same man writing the script and wearing the cowl. With both Johns track record as a comic book writer and Affleck's track record as a director and screenwriter, the fact that they're the ones who have total creative control of the film is definitely something to be psyched about.
