Rumor: The Walking Dead Goes Into Hiding to Prevent Cliffhanger Spoilers

Possible spoilers for The Walking Dead season seven follow!

Filming for season seven of The Walking Dead is well underway, so the big question is: who's missing? After that debacle of a cliffhanger at the end of last season, Death Watch has begun, as whichever cast member is missing from production is likely the one who met Lucille. However, it might be a little bit longer before we find out who it was, since rumor has it that TWD is literally hiding from fans and press to prevent spoilers from leaking.

It's been relatively quiet for the last few weeks, even though production on season seven has already begun, and we expected to know which character got killed off the moment filming for the first episode was over. But today, they've started filming the third episode, and yet the internet is quiet. According to The Spoiling Dead, the cast has mostly been filming in a studio in order to hide which characters are still in action.

That being said, it's impossible to avoid leaks completely, so which characters have been eliminated from the running? The internet went crazy when Steven Yeun and Norman Reedus were spotted at the scene of a car accident in Atlanta, but that was fairly early on, so one of them could have just been filming the first episode, which will presumably show the actual death scene and/or flashbacks. But Reedus has continued to show up in the Spoiling Dead's reports, particularly in scenes that couldn't be flashbacks. One persistent rumor, for example, sees Daryl kidnapped by Negan and taken back to the Sanctuary, where he attempts an escape.

Plus, Reedus' recent statements about the seventh season certainly sound like someone who will still be involved going forward:

Opening quote
"I think probably the planet is going to explode," Reedus told EW of the first episode. "That's my feeling. It's so good. Every time we go on a promotional tour talking about what's going to come, we all say 'Oh my God, it's amazing. I can't wait for you to see it.' But it continually surprises me how this show grows and is put together and the execution of it – no pun intended. It blows my mind. It just continually reaches a new plateau every single time, and this is the highest plateau we've ever been. So just wait. It's worth the wait, trust me."
Closing quote

So if not Daryl, then who was it? My money is still on Glenn, since Yeun is filming Bong Joon-Ho's movie Okja as well as the animated series Voltron. But then again, while Sonequa Martin-Green, Yeun, and Reedus have all been seen on set, there's been no mention of the other most likely contenders: Lauren Cohan or Michael Cudlitz. My guess is, if it's not Glenn, it will be Abraham. What do you think?
