Westworld Is Officially Coming to HBO This Fall
After a series of delays, HBO's futuristic Western adaptation Westworld has finally been added to the network's schedule. There's no specific premiere date yet, but it will officially come out sometime this fall.

In spite of promising promotional materials, there were rumors of production issues from the outset, and production was ominously shut down for several months back in January. But HBO and co-showrunner Jonathan Nolan insisted that there was no major problem, they simply took a break from production to "get ahead of the writing," which is a lame euphemism if it's false but a great idea if it's true.

Described as "a dark odyssey about the dawn of artificial consciousness and the future of sin," Westworld takes place in a futuristic theme park populated by lifelike androids that allows customers to enact their deepest, darkest desires. In addition to Wright, the series will star Anthony Hopkins, Ed Harris, Evan Rachel Wood, James Marsden, Thandie Newton, Rodrigo Santoro, and Tessa Thompson.
