Watch the VFX Breakdown for That Awesome Quicksilver Sequence in X-Men: Apocalypse
X-Men: Apocalypse may have been a disappointment overall, but Quicksilver once again stole the show with an amazing slow-mo sequence. Now, 20th Century Fox has released a VFX breakdown of the best (and funniest) scene in the whole movie:

The scene, which they call "The Extraction," occurs in the movie when the mansion starts to implode, and Quicksilver has to get everyone out of there. The scene is even longer--and even better--than his breakout turn in Days of Future Past, and required state-of-the-art technology to pull it off.

Opening quote
"It's bigger, longer and more detailed," Evan Peters said of the scene. "I think it's an amazing sequence that they've put together. Just filming it, I was like, 'Oh, my god!' I think we shot for 22 days of second unit, working on the sequence, which is amazing. It's so cool to take that much time to make something like that really pop and really work. Knock on wood, I think it's going to be a fun and enjoyable sequence for people to watch, with Quicksilver running around and doing his thing in slow-mo time. I hope people like it."
