Batman v Superman Ultimate Edition Trailer Previews Jena Malone's Mystery Character
The Batman v Superman Ultimate Edition is coming out this month, and it includes a full 30 minutes of new footage. The first trailer is here, and it previews more Bat-violence, more Alfred, and Jena Malone's "mystery" character (although we all know who she is):

There are lots of new shots in this trailer, from the different interview on Superman's television to Batman in LexCorp to Alfred's line, "So falls the House of Wayne." But the most significant difference is the presence of Jena Malone, who seems to be a fellow journalist working alongside Lois Lane. There's a slight chance that she's not Barbara Gordon, and Zack Snyder has insisted that she isn't, but then Warner Bros. accidentally spilled the beans, so it's very likely that she is. It doesn't seem like she'll have a significant enough role for Killing joke-inspired scenes, as many fans were suggesting, but you never know.

Overall, this trailer made the movie look a little bit better than it was in the theatrical release, and I'll be curious to see whether it improves the movie (i.e. whether it will help the movie make a tiny bit of sense). Zack Snyder has previously stated that scenes were cut from the fight with Doomsday and Batman's warehouse sequence, as well as the opening North Africa sequence. Perhaps the latter will help elucidate exactly what happened when Superman saved Lois Lane, since that was one of the most confusing and poorly-edited parts of the movie, or maybe we'll just see a lot more Doomsday CGI.

The Batman v Superman Ultimate Edition cut is rated R for violence, and the Blu-ray combo pack also includes special features including "Uniting the World's Finest," "The Warrior, the Myth, the Wonder," "Acclerating Design: The New Batmobile," and "Batcave: Legacy of the Lair." It comes out on June 28.
