Sebastian Stan Hints that Winter Soldier Will Appear in Black Panther
Black Panther's cast is shaping up to be one of the best Marvel casts ever, with Chadwick Boseman, Lupita Nyong'o, and Michael B. Jordan all confirmed. But can we add Sebastian Stan to that list? The actor was recently asked about Bucky's fate in the MCU, and he heavily, heavily hinted that we might get to see the Winter Soldier in the Black Panther solo movie.

At Philadelphia Comic Con this weekend (via Slashfilm), Stan was asked which non-Avengers, non-Captain America movie he would like Bucky to appear in. After Chris Evans and Anthony Mackie warned him to "be careful" with his answer or he might "break the internet," Stan responded:

Opening quote
I mean, there's obviously a very clear answer, but I'm not going to maybe say it, now. Where did he end up at the end of the movie? That's the movie he should be in, I think. I feel like that would be the natural… but I don't know. I don't know anything.
Closing quote

At the end of Civil War, Bucky goes into suspended animation and his body is held at Wakanda, T'Challa's kingdom, where the king promises to protect the Winter Soldier from the enemies who would come after him. This was clearly a tease for the Black Panther movie in general, and it seemed that Bucky's presence might be an inciting incident, but it was unclear whether he would be in suspended animation for the whole movie. If Stan's statements are to be taken at face value, it looks like he will make an actual, substantive appearance.

Black Panther opens in theaters on February 16, 2018.
