Here's When 'Thor: Ragnarok' Is Filming
The Thor series has probably been the least well-received, both critically and financially, out of all the Marvel Cinematic Universe franchises. But the third installment, Thor: Ragnarok, appears to be pulling out all the stops in an effort to put together one of the best films in the entire MCU, let alone the Thor series. And now we know when the action will begin.

According to a report from Australian news outlet The Advertiser, Thor: Ragnarok will curiously begin filming in that country on the Fourth of July. It seems odd that an American production would begin work on a major American holiday, but maybe this is their way of dealing with Marvel's recent decision to turn Captain America into a Nazi. Whatever the reason, the film is expected to shoot through the summer and finish up in late October, just over a year before the film's premiere in November 2017.

The new film is expected to be an intergalactic buddy film starring Thor and Hulk, and will also feature the return of Loki along with new characters Hela (Cate Blanchett), Executioner (Karl Urban), Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson), and Grandmaster (Jeff Goldblum). In other words, it's going to be awesome, and we're psyched that filming is getting underway.
