Lea Thompson & Howard the Duck Reunite
The first ever full-length film based on a Marvel Comics character was not Iron Man or X-Men or Spider-Man - it was Howard the Duck. Produced by George Lucas, the film was a critical and commercial disaster, and is frequently the butt of many jokes. Perhaps the most notorious thing about the film was a sex scene between the titular duck of the film and a human woman, played by Lea Thompson. And now, it seems Howard and Lea are reuniting.

A long forgotten relic of the Marvel Universe, Howard resurfaced in a post-credits scene in Guardians of the Galaxy. The popularity of that scene led to a new Howard the Duck comic book that started last year, and now Thompson is set to appear in its pages. The actress will appear as herself in issue #8 of the series, which goes on sale on June 8.

"My career goes into a 100 different directions, and I embrace them all," Thompson told The Hollywood Reporter. "They asked me to appear in the comic and I was like, 'Sure, why not?'" In the story, Thompson hires Howard to find a missing person, which ends up being herself, as she's been unaware of her whereabouts since the 1986 film. Sounds pretty meta, we think Howard would approve.
