Larry Fong Changes His Mind Regarding the Batman v Superman Ultimate Cut
Last week, quotes of Larry Fong, the cinematographer of BvS, hit the web regarding what he had to say about the Ultimate Cut of the movie. Of course, he essentially stated that an extra thirty minutes wasn't going to change anyone's mind about the quality of the film, and that certainly seemed like an honest, sensible thing to say. Now, however, he's backtracking on that statement, and now says that he believes the Ultimate Cut may be able to change a few minds regarding the film after all:

While it would be amazing if the Ultimate Edition somehow accomplished to change the film so drastically that it made all of the critics' problems with it go away, that's extremely unlikely to happen. In fact, while Fong could have very well changed his mind regarding the Ultimate Edition's ability to change minds, it really kind of seems like he may have made an oopsie that he needed to correct when he gave the Ultimate Edition bad press. His first conclusion seems a tad more believable from the skeptic's chair.

Nevertheless, the Ultimate Edition will still undoubtedly feature some must-see footage for DC fans, and those who did enjoy the film (which there actually is a large portion of the fanbase that did), will likely be thrilled to have even more bits and pieces being added to the story for their enjoyment.

The Ultimate Edition comes out on digital HD on June 28th and DVD and Blu-ray on July 19th.
