The Stay Puft Marshmallow Man Is Back in New 'Ghostbusters' Spot
Ghostbusters has released several new TV spots, and one of them confirms the return of an old favorite. We already knew that Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Sigourney Weaver, Ernie Hudson, and Annie Potts had cameos in the new film, and that Slimer was returning, and now we know that the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man is back as well.

The trailer, seen below, features a brief shot of the giant confectionary sailor once again tormenting Boston New York City, as well as an unfortunate crotch shot joke at the expense of big bad, Rowan. You can check it out below.

The appearance of Stay Puft is a double-edged sword. On the one hand, fans should be happy to see the return of a beloved character. On the other hand, his appearance offers more fuel to the fire for critics who say the new movie doesn't have any new ideas other than the swapping of the characters' genders, and will end up being a shot for shot remake of the original.

A second new spot features more familiar territory, with the Ghostbusters being lectured in a government office.

The other two new ads are less of a rehash, and feature the team battling ghosts at a rock concert, and showcasing some new ghostbusting equipment, respectively.

Ghostbusters hits theaters on July 15.
