Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is Bringing Footage to San Diego Comic Con
After defying its doubters back in 2014, Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy returns to theaters for its second outing next year as it looks to build on the carefree adventures of Chris Pratt's Star Lord and his unlikely band of alien heroes. Director James Gunn took to Facebook to announce that, after a wild 90 day shoot, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 was getting ready to wrap production. With a May 2017 release date scheduled, there's still a long way to go until we get to sample a finished product, but during his wrap announcement, Gunn revealed we would be getting a small taste of what's to come as early as next month.

Opening quote
"We, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2, are coming to San Diego Comic Con this year, said Gunn. "We are going to be there, I'm going to be there, Chris Pratt is going to be there, a bunch of the gang is going to be there, and we're going to show you guys something pretty cool."
Closing quote

Marvel movies were a notable no-show at last year's San Diego Comic Con, but with Doctor Strange released on November and this latest commitment from the Guardians of the Galaxy team, it looks like the MCU is going to feature in a big, big way at this year's event. 2017 is going to be the Marvel's biggest year to date with Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Spider-Man: Homecoming, and Thor: Ragnarok all hitting theaters. Will we see Chris Hemsworth and Tom Holland joining fellow MCU stars Chris Pratt and Benedict Cumberbatch at SDCC this year? Let's hope so!
