New Trailer for Westworld Suggests HBO Has a Sci-Fi Hit on Its Hands
After a troubled road through production, one of the most highly-anticipated science fiction adaptations of the last few years is finally back on track. Based on Michael Crichton's classic 1973 movie, Westworld doesn't just have incredible source material to get us excited, it's got a production team that includes Jonathan Nolan, JJ Abrams and Lisa Joy, and a cast list featuring the likes of Sir Anthony Hopkins, Ed Harris, Thandie Newton, and James Marsden.

It's probably because of this exciting potential that we were all so concerned when the production was halted recently, pushing the release of the show back from Summer 2016 to Fall. However, things are now back on track and with Westworld slated for an October release, HBO has released a new trailer which will serve to put your mind at ease and convince all the doubters that HBO could have a potentially Game of Thrones sized sci-fi hit on their hands.

If you're a fan of the original movie, you'll more than likely be pretty stoked at how HBO's Westworld is shaping up. It's dark, wonderfully shot, and deeply unsettling...and that's just the trailer. With ten hour-long episodes to play with, we should get a chance to really dive deeper into the the issues and themes that Michael Crichton's original work touched on. Human morality and the age old question of Artificial Intelligence are at the heart of this property, but thanks to HBO's hefty budget, there will plenty of sci-fi/western action to keep the pace ticking along as well.

Check out a full synopsis for the show, below.
