'Prometheus' Star Noomi Rapace Returning For 'Alien: Covenant'
Remember back when we all thought the star of Prometheus, Noomi Rapace, wasn't going to be in the film's sequel, Alien: Covenant? Well, it turns out she's in the movie after all, as Deadline is reporting that she has joined the highly-anticipated film.

According to the report, the Swedish actress is on the set of the film in Australia and is apparently going to be there for several weeks shooting scenes. It doesn't sound like she's the star of the film, but that's a significant amount of time, so odds are that she's doing more than a cameo. She'll be joining the lone other returning actor from Prometheus in the new film, Michael Fassbender, along with newcomers Katherine Waterston, Billy Crudup, and Danny McBride.

It's anyone's guess as to what kind of role Rapace will have in the film. The synopsis deals with the crew of the Covenant, who arrive on what they think is an uncharted planet and discover Fassbender's android David as its sole inhabitant. There doesn't appear to be much room for Rapace in that description, but we're looking forward to her return nonetheless.
