Bryan Cranston Joins the Power Rangers Reboot
We've been waiting for Bryan Cranston to join a superhero movie for some time, but we definitely weren't expecting it to be this. The Breaking Bad star has joined the cast of the upcoming Power Rangers reboot, playing the floating head leader of the team, Zordon.

The news of Cranston's casting was announced on Twitter by Cranston himself, and later confirmed by the Power Rangers official account. "Excited to play #Zordon in the #PowerRangersMovie!" the actor writes. "T or F: #BlueRanger Billy Cranston was named after what actor?"

The Blue Ranger really is named after Cranston, who can trace his Power Rangers roots back to early in his career. Some of his first gigs consisted of voiceover work, and he dubbed the vocals for Power Rangers villains Snizzard and Twinman back in the early '90s.

With Cranston joining the film, along with the previously announced Elizabeth Banks as villain Rita Repulsa, this once strange-seeming reboot now looks like it's going to be a must see. The film is set to debut on March 24 of next year.
