Rogue One: New Stills Preview Stormtrooper Dolls and a Tropical Planet
Between the Darth Vader reveal, new character breakdowns, and exciting new Clone Wars connections, we can't get enough Rogue One news. Luckily, EW has new stills from the movie, and they not only reveal most of the main cast, but also a beautiful tropical water planet and the Stormtrooper equivalent of a toy soldier.

The above water planet that's right near the Death Star is the site of a major battle in the movie, and was filmed in several locations around the world, including the Maldives.

Opening quote
"There's this sort of South Pacific, tropical paradise planet that subconsciously leads into some of the imagery associated with World War II," director Gareth Edwards said.

In the above photo, a Deathtrooper is holding a Stormtrooper doll, which is confirmed to be their version of a toy soldier. The filmmakers confirmed to EW that it is, in fact, an in-universe doll, and that it has "special significance" in the plot. Um... what?

Here are some stills of the main cast, including Felicity Jones' Jyn Erso and Ben Mendelsohn's villainous Krennic:
