First Spider-Man: Homecoming Set Photos Feature Tom Holland, Zendaya, and More
Spider-Man: Homecoming started filming this week, which means that the first set photos have slowly started trickling out. We've already caught glimpses of some of the stars on set, including Tom Holland's Spider-Man and Zendaya's as-yet-unnamed love interest.

The pictures all seem to be taken on a set meant to simulate a school, which makes sense, since the film is supposed to heavily focus on Peter Parker's conflict between his normal life in high school and his secret vigilantism as Spider-Man. It's also a relief that Holland, Zendaya, and the other students in the below pictures (played by Laura Harrier, Beasts of No Nation's Abraham Attah, The Boss's Isabella Amara, and The Dark Tower's Michael Barbieri, who is not playing Ganke), are a racially diverse group and look very young, almost like (gasp!) actual teenagers. It will definitely help the charming, old-school, John Hughes-esque vibe director Jon Watts is going for.

The pictures also show Kenneth Choi, who has been confirmed to play the principal, Silicon Valley's Martin Starr, who is apparently playing a teacher at Peter's high school. Peter's sweatshirt also confirms that his school is called Midtown School of Science & Technology, changed from Midtown High School in the comics, which may indicate that there will be a renewed focus on Peter Parker as a scientist, similar to the Amazing Spider-Man films.

Spider-Man: Homecoming also stars Marisa Tomei as Aunt May, Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, Michael Keaton, Logan Marshall-Green, and Bokeem Woodbine as the film's villains, as well as Donald Glover and Hannibal Buress in unspecified roles.
