Three New Star Trek Beyond TV Spots Feature Lots of New Footage
Star Trek Beyond has had a somewhat lackluster marketing campaign, and many involved with the film have claimed that the first couple of trailers aren't representative of the movie as a whole. But the footage is getting progressively better, and three new TV spots have given us even more to chew on:

Some of the footage is just recycled from earlier trailers (the second TV spot is really just a shorter version of that Rihanna-scored trailer), but the first TV spot, especially, has plenty of new clips. In general, the movie is looking like more and more fun, particularly the buddy dynamic between Chris Pine's Kirk and Zachary Quinto's Spock, which has always been a reliably enjoyable part of this hit-and-miss reboot series. We still understand why Suicide Squad is getting more buzz, but it looks a little more promising.

Opening quote
The crew of the USS Enterprise, halfway into their five-year mission, are attacked by a seemingly unstoppable wave of unknown aliens, forcing them to abandon ship. Stranded on an unknown planet and with no apparent means of rescue, the crew find themselves in conflict with a new and ruthless enemy.
