Mark Hamill Reveals Wrap Up Date for Star Wars: Episode VIII
After Star Wars: Episode VII exceeded most fans' expectations, SW fans everywhere are dying to see the next installment of the trilogy and finally see some real footage of Luke back in action as the supposedly lone Jedi in a galaxy far, far away.

While Rogue One comes out later this year, sadly, there's almost a year and a half left before Star Wars Episode VIII hits theaters in December of 2017. That being said, Mark Hamill was able to release some information about the film in a tweet earlier today in which he revealed that the wrap up date for principal photography is July 22, 2016.

That certainly seems like quite a long time to spend in post-production, but with a movie franchise as big as Star Wars, Disney no doubt needs to take their time on this one. Sadly, there have been some extremely negative rumors about the quality of Rogue One as of now, but hopefully they prove vain upon the movie's release - it would be terrible if the first ever Star Wars standalone ended up killing the momentum for what could be another great trilogy.

Hamill recently announced that he wouldn't be able to make it to San Diego Comic Con because of the shooting schedule (the film wraps up the same day the festivities start), which is too bad as that'll be when The Killing Joke premieres. However, his duty to be the beloved Luke Skywalker obviously trumps being in attendance at SDCC.
