Arrow Season 5 Premiere Title Revealed
Arrow season five begins production today, and to celebrate, executive producer Marc Guggenheim has shared the first page of the premiere script, complete with the episode's title:

This episode title isn't quite as telling as The Flash's season premiere title, since after the events of season four, "Legacy" could refer to a number of things. The most obvious is (spoiler!) the fallout from Laurel's untimely death, particularly when it comes to her distraught father, Quentin Lance. It could also refer to Oliver's newly revealed son, or an element that will be introduced in the new season, like the Punisher-style antagonist who is "out to avenge a violent, tragic loss."

After many fans were disappointed with the shows third and fourth seasons, hopefully "Legacy" is also a meta reference to the show getting back to its gritty, character-driven roots. But that may not be the case, considering that David Ramsay just described season five as including "Mayhem, death, love…. Oliver and Felicity breaking up and getting back together..." (via TV Line). He might have been purposefully vague in order to avoid spoilers, but so far it sounds like more of the same.

Arrow returns for season five on October 5 at 8pm on The CW.
