Watch: How Many People Did Batman Kill in Batman v Superman?
While Ben Affleck's Batman was generally well-received by fans, there was one major caveat for comics fans: he was a straight-up murderer. While in the comics, he's famous for his "no-kill rule," BvS's Batman had no qualms about killing bad guys here and there. And now, we have a supercut of all the people Batman killed--as well as a final tally--to determined exactly how much of a "Murderverse" the DCEU is.

The video, made by Mr. Sunday Movies, tallies 21 people who were killed by Bruce Wayne in Batman v Superman. Some of these deaths are somewhat assumed, since he took for granted that people in cars hit by the Batmobile probably died. But even a conservative estimate would mean a whole lot of carnage over the course of the film, especially since he didn't count the criminals who were marked for death by Batman's brand (since those were indirect kills).

The video is very entertaining, especially when Batfleck gets side-eye from Christian Bale's Batman. But that being said, I don't actually take much issue with Batman's killing in BvS. Batman has broken his no-kill rule plenty of times in the comics and in other movies (The Dark Knight movies, even, had reckless car chases that almost definitely would have killed a few people). Plus, every cinematic adaptation is just one filmmaker's take on the character, and this was clearly supposed to be a darker Batman who had lost his way somewhat. Of all of the problems with Batman v Superman, this isn't all that egregious.

Batman v Superman's Ultimate Edition is now out on Digital HD, and comes out on Blu-ray on July 19.
