First Ghostbusters Clip Reveals New Weapons
The Ghostbusters reboot is only ten days away, and fans still have seen very little of this new batch of paranormal wranglers. Save for a couple of ill-received trailers and some short featurettes on the characters, basically nothing has been seen of the movie. But that changes now, with the first extended clip from the film debuting online.

The scene shows Kate McKinnon's Holtzmann, clearly the Egon of the group, showing how to use the new equipment she's invented - and it doesn't go so well. First up is the "ghost chipper", which is meant to suck in ghosts and then shred them. However, as we find out in the clip, it works on things other than ghosts. Then there's the "proton glove", which is not a problematic old NES controller, but instead a device meant for hand-to-specter combat. Again, though, this weapon doesn't work exactly as advertised. See for yourself in the clip below.

The new clip probably isn't going to change anyone's opinion on what is likely to be the most polarizing movie of the summer. If you liked the trailers, then odds are you'll like this clip that offers the same brand of humor. If you found the trailers lacking, then the clip isn't likely to convert you into a fan. Either way, if you're curious about the film at all, Ghostbusters starts haunting theaters on July 15.
