The Killing Joke Gains 300 Additional Locations For the One Night Only Theatrical Release
The Killing Joke is arguably one of the most highly anticipated straight to DVD animated films ever created. Alan Moore and Brian Bolland's iconic story has been praised as one of the best Batman stories of all time, and though the adaption will premiere at SDCC in a couple weeks, fans around the country were overjoyed to hear that the film would also get a one night only theatrical release the day after the world premiere.

Now, Fathom Events, the company in charge of the one night theatrical release, has just announced that the film will also be playing in an additional 300 locations due to the excitement that The Killing Joke has generated. That means that The Killing Joke will be playing at over 1,000 different locations nationwide, making it the biggest Fathom Events event of all time.

Screenings will begin at 7:30 and 10:00 p.m. on Monday the 25th. There will also be special video presentations before and after the film that are supposed to be exclusive to the event, so it looks like the fans willing to make the trip to see the film will get a bit of an extra treat as well.
