Matt Damon Would Be in a Superhero Movie with Ben Affleck as Director
Matt Damon is pretty much already playing a superhero in the fifth installment of the Bourne series coming out this month, but will we ever see him suit up as a proper comic book hero? He's not ruling it out, but he does have one big caveat: he would have to be directed by his best buddy, Ben Affleck.
Opening quote
"I'd consider anything with the right director, but I can't imagine there are any superheroes left, I think they're all taken at this moment," he said in an interview with the Irish Examiner. "If [Ben Affleck] was directing me, I'd jump on it in a New York minute. I'd love to work with Ben.
Closing quote

It looks like we're all in luck, since Ben Affleck is, in fact, directing an upcoming superhero movie--the Batman solo movie, which will probably start casting major roles soon. Damon seemed to laugh off the idea of playing Robin, but he could make a great middle-aged version of Nightwing, or he could play a number of villain roles, such as the heavily rumored Red Hood.

Of course, Damon was probably just talking, and he also joked that this would probably never happen since "every time [Ben] directs a movie, he gives himself the best role in it," and Damon wouldn't want to play a sidekick. But a villain role might sidestep that problem, and would be less of a commitment, so fingers crossed that we see these two actors on screen together for the first time since their Good Will Hunting/Dogma days.
