New Gotham Comic Con Poster Puts the Court of Owls Front and Center
Spend some time on DC fan forums, and you'll find rather quickly that Gotham is actually one of many DC fans' least favorite comic book TV shows currently on air. It's no doubt being carried by the fact that it has some relation to the Batman franchise, and there's been very little that the show has done that hasn't been divisive among Batfans. Nevertheless, it has proven popular enough to earn itself a third season, and the new Comic Con poster should be a hit among all DC fans regardless of what they think of the show in general.

The poster, which features the tagline "All Will Be Judged," puts the mask worn by members of the Court of Owls front and center. The villains, which are essentially wealthy Gothamites that strive to rule and control the city from the shadows, were first created by Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo back in 2011, when the comic creators first took over on the DC's main Batman title. The story they told, simply called The Court of Owls, turned out to be a huge critical success.

Apparently, the Court of Owls story was built up to over the course of the second season of Gotham. Of course, it'll have to be a much different story than the one in the comics - Bruce is still in adolescence on the show. Still, seeing that the villains, which have obtained a level of popularity usually unheard of within the first five years of a character's creation, are going to be adapted in a live action TV show is certainly something for DC fans to be excited about.
