New Suicide Squad Trailer Puts Amanda Waller Front-and-Center
Harley Quinn has already been cited as the breakout character of Suicide Squad, but from the looks of things, she's not the only bad-ass female character in the movie. A new trailer has just been released, and it introduces us to the genuinely frightening leader of the Squad:

The trailer highlights Viola Davis' Amanda Waller, who seems to be just as much of an antihero as any other character in the film, if not more. In fact, she may be the true villain of the piece, if Rick Flag and Deadshot's fear and awe of her is any indication. Annalise Keating would be proud.

This trailer makes us even more excited for Suicide Squad, not only because the footage looks great and the music is on point, but because the marketing team has done a great job of teasing the film without revealing too much. It's only a few weeks before the film's premiere, and we still don't have a very clear picture of the plot, or Batman's role, or even which members are actually part of the Squad (I guess Enchantress and Joker aren't?). Hopefully going in blind will make this movie even better, especially after the disastrous, spoiler-filled marketing campaign for BvS.

Suicide Squad hits theaters on August 5.
