Gotham Nabs Walking Dead Star as Mad Hatter
Gotham is adding a big new villain to its Rogues Gallery for season 3, and it's borrowing an actor from TV's biggest show to do it.

Deadline reports that Benedict Samuel, who portrayed the unnamed leader of the Wolves on The Walking Dead, is slated to play Jarvis Tetch, better known as The Mad Hatter, on the DC show next season. In the series, Tetch is described as a hypnotist on the verge of losing his mind, who travels to Gotham in search of his sister, who went missing in the city years earlier. We're guessing once he gets there, something will happen that will push him over the edge.

The Mad Hatter has a long history in the comics, debuting way back in 1948 in Batman #49. He's been around so long in fact that he was even co-created by Bill Finger himself, the co-creator of Batman. In most incarnations, the character utilizes various forms of mind-control technology as his main weapon, which could wreak a lot of havoc in Gotham (think Kilgrave in Jessica Jones).

As for Samuel, we've already seen that he can play unhinged on TWD, and we're looking forward to what sounds like an even more psychotic role for the actor.
