SDCC: Marvel Animation Announces New Animated Film
Look out DC Animation, Marvel's coming for you. During their Comic-Con panel on Saturday, July 23, Marvel Animation announced a new full-length animated film, Hulk: Where Monsters Dwell. The movie will focus on the Hulk and Doctor Strange, and will also feature the monster team known as the Howling Commandos. The movie is described as being dark, creepy, and more adult than any of the shows Marvel is currently producing, which could mean it was somewhat influenced by the more adult-oriented animated films coming out of DC. The film will be released sometime this fall.

Marvel also announced they're launching a 12-part series of animated shorts starring Rocket Raccoon and Groot. A brief clip was shown, and I can say that the animation is beautiful and unlike any of the other cartoons in Marvel's stable. The shorts will air on Disney XD, and Marvel plans on eventually producing more shorts for other properties.

Finally, it was announced that the Avengers animated series will be returning for a fourth season. It was previously rumored that the third season of the show would be the last, but it turns out that's not the case. The new season, titled Avengers: Secret Wars, will largely focus on a new team of Avengers after the original Avengers disappear. The new team will be made up of newly introduced heroes Ms Marvel, Captain Marvel, Vision, Ant-Man, Wasp, and Thor (Jane Foster); with Black Panther as their leader.
