Supergirl: Get Your First Look at Tyler Hoechlin in Full Superman Costume
Henry Cavill might currently be filling the Kryptonian-sized boots of Superman on the big screen, but on the small screen the world's most famous superhero is about to get another adaptation. Tyler Hoechlin is the man tasked with taking on the iconic roll of Kal-El on the CW's Supergirl, a move that was met with the inevitable mixed reactions that go hand-in-hand with the casting of such a huge role. Of course, any criticism of Hoechlin as Superman is completely unfair, at least until we've seen him in action. But if fans were struggling to imagine the Teen Wolf actor in the Red and Blue Kryptonian outfit, a new image released from CW might just help.

Warner Bros. Television

Hoechlin's outfit strongly resembles the one worn by Henry Cavill in the DCEU, with both opting to leave the famous red trunks in the locker room and both also featuring a texture that almost resembles chain mail or scales. But there are also differences between the two. Where Cavill's suit is darker in tone, Hoechlin's reflects the brighter, more cartoonish color palette of the Supergirl TV show.

While this is our first look at the suit, we'll probably need to wait until we see Hoechlin in action to get a really true idea of how it looks.

In other Supergirl news, it was confirmed this weekend that Supergirl would be paying a visit, not just to The Flash, but also Arrow and Legends of Tomorrow. Could Superman have a small screen Justice League meeting with his pal, Barry Allen? Let's hope so!
