So... We Pretty Much Know Who Dies on The Walking Dead Now
All right, guys, it's the home stretch. The Walking Dead comes back in October, and so far, the identity of Negan's victim has been kept a secret from most of the public, thanks to crazy stunts like filming eleven death scenes and filming in the studio as much as possible. But there will inevitably be filming spoilers, and thanks to eagle-eyed fans and paparazzi, we pretty much know who's going to die in the season seven premiere. We'll all find out soon enough, so if you want to remain unspoiled, you should stop here.

Possible spoilers for The Walking Dead season seven follow!

Let's break this down. There were eleven people on Negan's chopping block: Rick, Carl, Daryl, Glenn, Michonne, Eugene, Aaron, Sasha, Rosita, Abraham, and Maggie. To be fair, the only people who can be ruled out 100% are Rick and Carl, because Negan threatened to feed Carl's other eye to his father if anyone moved to save the victim. Maggie is all but ruled out, since she heavily implied that her pregnancy would be a significant storyline next season at San Diego Comic Con. Aaron, Sasha, and Rosita are pretty much eliminated even disregarding filming spoilers (which we'll get to in a minute) just through common sense, because they aren't developed enough characters to have a real impact on the viewer.

That just leaves the four we're most worried about: Glenn, Michonne, Eugene, and Abraham. It was amazing news that Danai Gurira was cast in Black Panther, but it made us concerned that she was on the receiving end of Lucille. However, her part doesn't seem to be huge, so it doesn't necessarily mean anything. Steven Yeun, on the other hand, had a starring role in Bong Joon Ho's Okja, which started filming in Seoul right when season seven was supposed to be in production, and he's also committed to voice acting in Voltron: The Legendary Defender. And more importantly, according to production spoilers, he hasn't been seen filming since the premiere.

According to The Spoiling Dead Fans, Rick, Carl, Daryl, Michonne, Aaron, Sasha, Eugene, Rosita, and Maggie were all seen shooting past the premiere, based on sources close to the shoot and "reliable photographic evidence." Daryl is apparently taken captive by Negan in the premiere and remains with the Saviors for a bit, Maggie is holed up at Hilltop for a while, and the rest have mostly been seen in Alexandria. While The Spoiling Dead is a fan site rather than an official source, they are hardly ever wrong, leading us to believe that both Glenn and Abraham were killed by Lucille. This would make perfect sense, because it would both remain faithful and subvert the comics simultaneously, and killing off two characters would serve to surprise the viewer a little and offset the anticlimactic effect of waiting months to find out who died. Plus, Abraham's comics death was very consciously given to Denise last year, which probably indicates that he was going to be killed off in another epic, comics-accurate manner.

Now, the spoiler site has released their official prediction, and it's the same as ours:

Opening quote
According to the filming schedule and our own damn brains and all the other evidence that has popped up over the last couple of months (most via the cast themselves) Abe will be killed first, followed by Glenn. Daryl, who tries to interfere after the beating of Abe, will be taken by Negan and will apparently not like dog food sandwiches.
Closing quote

This isn't definite, but it's pretty damn likely at this point. Spoiling Dead Fans are usually very reliable, and it also just makes the most sense, considering what happens in the comics. Not to mention this tweet from Michael Cudlitz:

That probably means Glenn, but it would be even sneakier if it meant both of them. What do you think?
