New Alien: Covenant Clip Appears to Show a Mystery Woman in a Hypersleep Chamber
Alien: Covenant is now exactly one year away from hitting the theaters. To celebrate, the studio has shared some of the first moving images from the movie, which is in the midst of a lengthy post-production process.

We've had plenty of stills from behind the scenes on the movie, and while this particular gif might not be much, it's nice to see things taking shape in moving form.

As for what's in the gif, it looks like it might be some sort of hypersleep chamber. If that's the case, it's a very different design to anything we've seen before. For example, check out one of the earlier hypersleep chambers in the image below. If it's not a hypersleep chamber, it's almost certainly a medical pod. Regardless, it looks pretty cool.

Regarding the question of who is in the pod, that seems to be a little less clear. My first instinct was to suggest it's Katherine Waterstone's character, Daniels, but on closer inspection I'm leaning towards it being Amy Seimetz. Unfortunately, we don't yet know the identity of Seimetz's character.

As the tweet says, Alien: Covenant is released in exactly one year. With post-production in full-swing, we can probably look forward to a first teaser for the movie some time in the next couple of months.
