Amy Adams and Jeremy Renner Try to Make Alien Contact in First Teaser for 'Arrival'
Yesterday we got the first images from Denis Villeneuve's upcoming Sci-Fi thriller, Arrival, but today brings something even better...the first teaser.

Starring Amy Adams and Jeremy Renner, Arrival is based on Ted Chiang's critically acclaimed novella, Story of Your Life. Adams and Renner play a linguist and a mathematician who have been selected to attempt first contact with mysterious alien spacecraft that have appeared around the globe.

If you've had enough of the summer's lackluster, explosion-packed blockbusters, Arrival looks like it could be the perfect remedy. Villeneuve, who is also set to direct the upcoming Blade Runner sequel, will premiere his latest film at the Venice Film Festival next month, and word is that it has more than a few similarities with Sci-Fi classics like Close Encounters of the Third Kind, and Contact. Such similarities are clear to see in the first official synopsis for the movie, which you can read below.

Opening quote
When mysterious spacecrafts touch down across the globe, an elite team - lead by expert linguist Louise Banks (Amy Adams) - is brought together to investigate. As mankind teeters on the verge of global war, Banks and the team race against time for answers – and to find them, she will take a chance that could threaten her life, and quite possibly humanity.
