The Flash Season 3 Will Head to Gorilla City
Gorilla Grodd has become an unlikely favorite among Flash fans, and his story is far from over. After teasing Grodd's possible return for months, Flash EP Andrew Kreisberg has confirmed that not only will the villain make a comeback in the third season, we'll be visiting his home in the jungle: Gorilla City.

Kreisberg had previously stated that he wanted to build up to a multi-episode arc with Grodd, much like they did for R'as al Ghul on Arrow. Now, when asked at TCA whether Grodd would return next season, Kreisberg said (via Collider):

Opening quote
"Yes, we're going to be doing a two-part episode that takes place in Gorilla City," Kreisberg said.
Closing quote

In the comics, Gorilla City was created when an alien spacecraft crashes in an African jungle, rendering all the gorillas in the vicinity super-intelligent and telepathic. Grodd not only becomes one of the citizens of Gorilla City, but tries to take it over by brainwashing the other gorillas using neo-magnetic radiation, as a plot to eventually take over the world.

The Flash's version of Gorilla City will have a different origin story, since Grodd no longer received his abilities from alien technology, but from experiments run by Wade Eiling. Right now, Grodd is in a sanctuary for gorillas who were experimented on in Earth-2, after Barry lured him to a dimensional breach in Earth-2, so that will likely be the live-action version of Gorilla City.

The Flash returns for season three on October 4 at 8pm on The CW.
