The Flash Director Refutes Claims That Cyborg Will Appear in the Movie
Judging from recent reports, the Flash movie is going to be peppered with faces from the DC Extended Universe. Jai Courtney is already confirmed to reprise his role as Captain Boomerang, and two days ago it was confirmed that Ray Fisher would appear as Cyborg. But now, Flash director Rick Famuyiwa has thrown in his two cents, and it seems that might have been a rumor.

In the tweet, he seems to be questioning the sources of Variety, who originally broke the news. Variety's reports are generally pretty reliable, but in the article they only cite "sources," so it's hard to say for sure. It's already on The Flash's IMDb page, and they're usually fairly official as well, but they might just be taking Variety's report as gospel as well.

It's possible that Famuyiwa is just trying to cover up the fact that a big spoiler leaked, or maybe Variety's sources actually got it wrong. Either way, we should take the original report with a grain of salt.

The Flash hits theaters on March 16, 2018.
