You Probably Haven't Noticed This Hilarious, Long-Running 'The Flash' Easter Egg
In the age of the internet, online fans are quick to notice any and all Easter eggs and references. When The Flash references Arrow, Supergirl, or other pockets of the DC Comics universe, someone somewhere will pick it up and share with everyone else. But as it turns out, there's one Easter egg that even the most eagle-eyed of fans apparently haven't noticed, and it's been recurring on the show since season one.

In a recent interview with TV Insider, Grant Gustin revealed that there's an adorable, non-comics-related character who has appeared in many episodes, completely under-the-radar:

"No one seems to notice that we have a rubber duck that we've fit into almost every single scene in the police station. We have been doing it since early in Season 1. Sometimes it's in an evidence bag that a cop is carrying."

This is hilarious on its own, but it's made even more hilarious by the fact that no one has noticed this (ourselves included). We were about due for a Flash re-watch anyway, but if there were ever a reason to go back and binge the first two seasons on Netflix, this would be it. Not to get pumped for season three, or to better understand the show's (somewhat incoherent) time travel rules, but to find the rubber ducky.

The Flash returns for season three on October 4 at 8pm on The CW.
