Report: Michael Peña Confirmed to Return for Ant-Man and the Wasp
While parts of Ant-Man were a little hit-and-miss, there was one aspect that was an unqualified success: Michael Peña's scene-stealing turn as Luis. Now, a new report seems to confirm that he will return for the sequel, Ant-Man and the Wasp, which comes out in 2018.

The news comes from THR, who reported that Peña would star in the horror film The Bringing. At the end of the article, as an afterthought about his future projects, the article stated that Peña "will return to the Marvel Universe for the Ant-Man sequel, Ant-Man and the Wasp, which will shoot next year."

We should take this news with a grain of salt, since the tossed-off nature of the claim may indicate that THR is simply assuming he will return. And they're probably right, especially since his performance was so well-received by fans and critics, but that doesn't necessarily mean it's officially confirmed. His name isn't listed on the film's IMDb page, and when he was asked by Cinema Blend whether he'd be in the sequel, he had this to say:

Opening quote
I am. I am. Just because they announced it, that they're doing a sequel. As far as I'm concerned I think I'm back! Unless you know something that I don't know… [laughs]
Closing quote

So I guess everyone is just presuming he'll be in it? It would be crazy not to include him, so hopefully this report is true. Who else is going to help Scott Lang now that he's a fugitive from the law (again)?

Ant-Man and the Wasp is set for release on July 6, 2018.
