The Fault in Our Stars Writers Drafted in to Help With The New Mutants Script
Fox's New Mutants movie is about to get another injection of teen drama. Director Josh Boone, who helmed the teen tearjerker, The Fault in Our Stars, is reuniting with the movie's screenwriting duo to put the finishing touches on the New Mutants script.

According to THR, Scott Neustadter and Michael H. Weber are set to join Boone's New Mutants movie, which focuses on a group of teenagers struggling to adjust to their mutant powers. Neustadter and Weber have also written on movies like The Spectacular Now, and Paper Towns, so they've got the teen drama element down pat. The team's other writing credits include the excellent 500 Days of Summer, and the distinctly less-excellent Pink Panther 2.

New Mutants will introduce a diverse range of new characters into Simon Kinberg's X-Men movie universe, including Moonstar, Warlock, and Cannonball. Earlier this year, Boone teased this all new line-up with a series of concept pieces that were posted to his social media accounts.

So far, details on the New Mutants cast have been kept under wraps, but Maisie Williams, and Anya Taylor-Joy are among the names expected to appear.
