Episode 2 of Batman - The Telltale Series Gets a Release Date
Like nothing that's ever come before it, Telltale's Dark Knight narrative has brought a masked vigilante to the realm of story-driven and choice-driven gameplay. Batman - The Telltale Series has been an absolutely phenomenal experience thus far, and could truly end up being a revolutionary masterpiece in the world of superhero video games.

The first episode, entitled Realm of Shadows, was released at the beginning of last month. The first installment in the series garnered high praise and critical acclaim, and if the rest of Telltale's new tale lives up to the high standards set by episode one, then they could truly have a masterpiece on their hands.

Now it looks like fans of the series won't be waiting much longer to step back onto the streets of Gotham, as Telltale has officially set the release date for episode 2 today for Tuesday, September 20th. The new episode has been teasingly entitled Children of Arkham.

So far, the only villains to appear in Batman - The Telltale Series have been Catwoman, Penguin, and Carmine Falcone. Harvey Dent plays a major role in the story as well, though the tale is set before he becomes the notorious duplicitous gangster, Two-Face. Telltale's takes on these characters have been fairly original and ultimately intriguing, though they still stick pretty close to the DC mythos. The name of episode 2, however, may mean that even more classic Batman villains could be about to make their Telltale breakout.

Batman - The Telltale Series is the first Batman game to implement comic-book-style graphics and choice driven gameplay. Yet they've still managed to highlight the action and choreography and add to Batman's insane collection of gadgets and technology in some pretty amazing ways. The result is totally different from the immensely popular Arkham series, but yet it's still every bit as enjoyable.

Telltale's popularity has been on the rise as of late, which makes sense as they've been taking on even more big name franchises like Game of Thrones, Minecraft, and even Mr. Robot. They've already made their mark on the industry with their incredible work, but Batman may arguably be the biggest property they've handled as of yet. It seems safe to say that DC has entrusted their franchise to some very capable hands, and that Telltale will do the Dark Knight justice.
