Here's How 'Wonder Woman' Fits Into 'Powerless'
DC has a lot of properties on television, and a growing presence in movies as well. But unlike Marvel's interconnected cinematic universe, the different DC universes never intersect with one another (actually, not all the TV universes intersect, either). But is that going to change with the new sitcom Powerless?

Wonder Woman, who of course has her own film coming out next year, was mentioned in the series' trailer. Now, star Vanessa Hudgens has gone on to clarify that her character's first insurance claim that she works on in the series is due to damage caused by none other than Diana Prince, which you can see toward the end of the below video.

So what does this mean exactly? The timing certainly suggests some cross-promotion, since both the show and the movie premiere next year, but is that really the case? Rather than the Gal Gadot Wonder Woman of the DCEU, the show could be referencing a Wonder Woman that exists in the CW's Flarrowverse. Don't forget, there are already separate movie and TV Flashes and Supermen, so why not two different Wonder Women?

On the other hand, Powerless is set to air on NBC - far away from the CW's properties. So with NBCUniversal not really having a dog in either the CW or DCEU fights, the show could very likely take place in a third DC universe (fourth if you count Gotham), showing that DC really is committed to this whole "multiverse" thing.
