Big Hero 6 Star Wants to Be Batfleck’s New Robin
The death of the second Robin, Jason Todd, has already played a role in the DC films universe, with his defaced suit up on display in the Batcave in Batman v Superman and a reference to Harley Quinn being accomplice to his murder in Suicide Squad. Though this has left many DC Comics fans speculating about when the first Robin, Dick Grayson, will show up, many are also looking forward to seeing whether or not Ben Affleck's Batman will get a new Robin, just as he does in the comics.

If a third Robin does happen to be in the cards for the upcoming Batman films, there's at least one actor already vying for the part on social media. Big Hero 6's Ryan Potter has been campaigning for the part of the DCEU's Tim Drake, and he's garnered quite a bit of support from some fans.

Though Tim Drake was an intriguing character, I personally wouldn't mind if the DCEU skipped over him and went right to Damian Wayne. His origins make him a much more compelling character, and if they mine the source material for all it's worth, there's a lot to be done with the father/son dynamic and with Damian's independent and somewhat arrogant characterization. If the DCEU wanted to bring the Robin richest in quality story material, then they'd undoubtedly go for Damian.

Still, seeing a live action Tim Drake would also be a real treat for DC fans. From just a superficial look at things, it would seem as though Potter looks the part and also has some experience with martial arts. However, actors that campaign for a certain part on social media haven't really had much luck with that method in the past. Remember when Tyrese Gibson tried to land the role of Green Lantern that way?

Either way, DC would be crazy not to bring in another Robin for future Batman films. Whether it's Tim Drake, Damian Wayne, or even Carrie Kelley, DC fans deserve to see the Boy Wonder done right on the big screen after the sorry excuse for movies that were Batman Forever and Batman and Robin.

So what do you think? Should Potter play a live action Tim Drake in the next Batman movie? Sound off in the comments below!
