Henry Cavill's Manager Confirms Man of Steel 2 Is Active at Warner Bros.
Last month, reports surfaced that the Man of Steel sequel was getting back into gear, and was being fast-tracked at Warner Bros. Now, Henry Cavill's manager, Dany Garcia, has confirmed that the film is in active development.

Opening quote
"Henry has a big appetite," Garcia told Newsweek. "We've been in a five-month period of time where he's re-strategizing, acquiring property [for his production company Promethean], he's filming [Justice League] now, he's in development for the Superman standalone… he's beginning to expand that world. It's beautifully teed up. In a year from now, or two years from now, he's going to be a force globally."
Closing quote

It's unclear whether the "year or two from now" refers to the Man of Steel release, but it's definitely possible. Right now, Warner Bros. has officially announced the Batman solo film and the Harley Quinn spin-off, in addition to Man of Steel 2. There are only two open slots in the next couple of years—October 2018 and November 2019—so presumably two of these three films will come out then.

And while Superman was hardly the most well-received aspect of the DCEU so far, it's still a contender for those dates. The Batman film is definitely a priority, but is also slave to Ben Affleck's busy schedule, and the Harley Quinn movie is still in very, very early development, since Warner Bros. just closed the deal for Margot Robbie to star and produce yesterday. So we'll have to see, but we can probably expect announcements of release dates relatively soon.
