Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Pratt Race Against Time in First "Passengers" Trailer
Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Pratt starring in a space epic is everything we love. In the first intense trailer for sci-fi romance Passengers, our favorite blockbuster actors race against time to save their sleeping comrades in a spaceship headed for a distant world.

From director Morten Tyldum (The Imitation Game), Passengers follows two astronauts who are headed to a planet 120 years away in hibernation pods, only to wake up 90 years early. From the trailer, it seems like their pods might have woken them up for the express purpose of fixing some kind of problem on the ship and saving the rest of their crew (and all of humankind? It's unclear whether this is an "Earth is uninhabitable" kind of story). And not only are Pratt and Lawrence two of the most charming actors alive, the film gets major bonus points for Michael Sheen playing a robot bartender. We are most definitely going to see this.

Opening quote
The spaceship, Starship Avalon, on its 120-year voyage to a distant colony planet known as "Homestead II" and transporting 5,259 people has a malfunction in two of its sleep chambers. As a result, two hibernation pods open prematurely and the two people that awoke (Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Pratt) are stranded on the spaceship, still 90 years from their destination.
