New Deleted Scene from Star Trek: Beyond Features Kirk & Scotty
Rejoice, Trekkies! The official Star Trek site has announced that Star Trek: Beyond is being released on DVD and Blu-ray this November with a bevy of special features, and to celebrate they've released a new, never-before-seen deleted scene with Kirk and Scotty taking a breather at Starbase Yorktown:

One thing in particular comes through in this scene: Kirk is awkward as hell when he's not ordering people to go to Warp 5. The James T. Kirk we know is smooth, cool-headed under pressure, and decisive, but the little exchange here between him and Scotty reveals that outside of the Enterprise, he doesn't really know what to do with himself. He's out of his element, and the sneeze on his shirt by that little alien just accentuates it.

This deleted scene is just one little taste of what Paramount is releasing this November, which promises to be a DVD/Blu-ray release of nerdgasmic proportions. According to the official site:

Opening quote
Star Trek Beyond will blast onto 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray and Blu-ray 3D Combo Packs on November 1, with the Digital HD available four weeks early, on October 4. The releases, from Paramount Home Media Distribution, will boast more than an hour of bonus content, with featurettes, deleted scenes, a gag reel and a tribute to both Leonard Nimoy and Anton Yelchin. Fans will also appreciate the film's Dolby Atmos soundtrack, remixed specifically for the home theater environment to place and move audio anywhere in the room, including overhead.
