Iron Fist Gets a Release Date and First Official Photo
Iron Fist finally has a release date, and it's quickly approaching. According to a new teaser video, the fourth Marvel/Netflix series will come out on March 17, 2017.

Marvel and Netflix also released the first official promotional photo (above), which shows Danny Rand punching out a bad guy (after he's presumably punched out all those other bad guys). The genie lamp-esque teaser video reminds us that his powers are primarily mystical rather than physical, which is a dangerous thing in the Marvel/Netflix universe, but hopefully the show will live up to expectations.

Just as importantly, does this release date mean that Marvel will finally break its two-shows-per-year rule? Not necessarily, considering that Daredevil season 2 came out in March of this year and Luke Cage came out in September, this conforms with the two-show schedule so far. But since Punisher is already filming, there's a chance that it could be released between Iron Fist and Defenders.

Opening quote
Fifteen years after being presumed dead in a plane crash, Danny Rand (Finn Jones) mysteriously returns to New York City determined to reclaim his birthright and family company. However, when a long-destined enemy rises in New York, this living weapon is forced to choose between his family's legacy and his duties as the Iron Fist.
