Professor X is Looking Ancient in First Image From ‘Logan’
Just this week, the title for Wolverine 3 was revealed to be 'Logan' in the film's first official poster. The hype is definitely starting to build for the film, with many comics fans looking forward to seeing a loose adaptation of the renowned graphic novel, Old Man Logan, written by Kick-Ass and Kingsmen author, Mark Millar. Now, fans have been given their first look at what Professor X is going to look like in the movie in a tweet by director James Mangold, and he seems a bit…old.

Of course this is to be expected, with Old Man Logan taking place in a somewhat far-off dystopian future (and with Logan expected to follow suit). With even Logan himself, who ages at an extremely slow rate, being referred to as "old," a significant amount of time will have to have passed between the final scene of Days of Future Past and the events of the third and final Wolverine film. Still, seeing the Professor looking so ancient and broken is probably an indication of the type of tone the film may end up taking.

There are apparently rumors going around that Logan will take place in 2024, and that Professor X is suffering from a condition comparable to Alzheimer's. With one of the most powerful mutants in the world compromised, it's sure to make for an interesting story. That being said, there hasn't been any confirmation of this as of yet, so it might be wise to take these reports with a grain of salt.

Logan is set to hit theaters on March 3, 2017.
