This Week in Star Wars: Epic Rogue One Poster Released, Episode VIII Ends in a Cliffhanger, and More
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story released this amazing Russian poster, which teases a casualty-heavy battle between the Rebels and the Empire:

Although there's no official Star Wars panel, there's lots of Rogue One posters coming out of NYCC, including a Rogue One young adult book series and Hasbro's toy line revealing new Rogue One characters. Alan Tudyk also told fans why he almost couldn't participate in Rogue One.

We also held a Science of Star Wars panel at NYCC, in which Outer Places writers, an astrophysicist, two psychologists, a paleontologist, and a VFX artist discussed the feasibility of lightsabers, the influence of Joseph Cambell's comparative mythology, and more. Full write-up to come!

The wonderful Ashley Eckstein also gave an interview about narrating the Ahsoka novel, which fills in the blanks of Ahsoka's story between Clone Wars and Rebels:

In Episode VIII news, Warwick Davis confirmed that he will have a role in the film, and said that, like Empire Strikes Back, it will leave us on several cliffhangers for Episode IX.

Speaking of comparisons to ESB, Adam Driver wants us to chill out about his comments about the Episode VIII script. Although if Warwick Davis is to be believed, Driver might have been right the first time.

Meanwhile, in Han Solo news, Phil Lord and Christopher Miller discussed Alden Ehrenreich's audition process, and said they "knew he was the guy from minute one." There is also a reported shortlist for the female lead (rumored to be Sana Solo), which includes Thor: Ragnarok's Tessa Thompson and Mad Max: Fury Road's Zoe Kravitz.

New info came out this week about Star Wars Land, courtesy of Mice Age:

Opening quote
In the case of the Millennium Falcon ride, code-named Big Bird at WDI, the experience would involve moving between multiple pre-show theaters setting up the plot and what tasks you must complete once you board the Falcon and launch into space. And if you fail at your assigned tasks, a happy ending is not a guarantee.

In the case of the Stormtrooper Battle Escape ride, code-named Alcatraz, WDI wants you to rush to your wireless and trackless vehicle and board and then disembark and re-board the vehicles on different levels of the massive ride building several times during the course of a long experience, all while under attack by Stormtroopers.

For all of you ultra Star Wars nerds, infamous geek Harry Plinkett finally released his Force Awakens review. Listen, get mad, and enjoy!

A new Lego Star Wars trailer seems to fill in missing parts of Poe's timeline from The Force Awakens:

Also, the adorable actress who played young Rey in TFA thinks Luke Skywalker is Rey's father. Make of that what you will.
