Oh God: Jar Jar Binks Has Invaded the Rogue One Poster
Jar Jar Binks is the Steve Urkel of Star Wars. Every time he opened his mouth, another piece of George Lucas' legacy died, until there was nothing left but green screens and lightsaber fights. Every time you thought he couldn't be any stupider ("Yud say boom de gasser, den crashin der boss's heyblibber, den banished."), he found a new, more nonsensical low ("Dellow felegates..."). Robot Chicken even parodied his return at the end of Revenge of the Sith just to underline how insufferable it would be to see him survive.

Either way, Jar Jar slowly faded out of the merchandise and the movies, and now that J.J. Abrams has started a new chapter with The Force Awakens, we can all rest easy with the knowledge that we will never have to lay eyes on Jar Jar's ridiculous, hateful face ever—

Oh, sweet Jesus, why?

When we first saw the picture above, we took momentary solace in the fact that Alan Tudyk's character, K-2S0, was untouched—no way you could graft a Gungan head onto a robot body, right? Then we noticed the stupid, floppy ears hanging from the back of the droid's head.

They didn't even spare the robots.

Gazing over the whole thing, we had the creeping horror that this was one of those mosaic pictures, where every pixel is actually just a tiny, shaded image of Bink's smiling face. If it was, that would be the last you'd hear of us. Well, welcome to the twisted mind of Olly Gibbs, freelance illustrator and one of the designers for Empire magazine. Olly has a strange, horrifying fascination with photoshopping Jar Jar Binks into things, as demonstrated by this previous piece of work:

All joking aside, Gibbs' masterful photoshopping skills are on full display here—the subtle lighting and the spot-on positioning of all those Jar Jar heads is seamless. Great job Olly! Maybe it's time to stop, though! For all of our sakes!
